A father and son always had a dream to have a family – centered restaurant in the heart of Durban North. Their dream came true with an intimate and friendly Trattoria when they established The Mad Italian. The Mad Italian is an Authentic Italian Restaurant where people come together for great food, conversation or to just enjoy each other’s company!

This restaurant has the most amazing dishes. We were actually served by one of their chef’s Junior. He was incredible with the knowledge of the items on the menu. His suggestions were fantastic, he would describe a dish to you with immense passion and you will immediately be craving it. The food is delicious and the drinks are refreshing.

The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. They serve good portions and we sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed the breeze with good music in the background. We had so much fun and I forgot to take pictures.
